Here’s something I want from Fringe next season, which I’m sure won’t happen but I just enjoy thinking about it: character-centric episodes wherein one character teams up with their alternate self to solve a case. I picture it functioning essentially like Lost’s shifts in character focus, or like Northwest Passage (that episode always stands out from s2 in my mind — I really liked it and I wish we could have ones like that for everyone who isn’t Peter). Basically I just think it would be interesting to have episodes that focus solely on who each character and their alternate is and how they cope with each other and the knowledge of their separate universes, and it would be an awesome opportunity to spotlight different characters and get new insight into them like oh I don’t know ASTRID WHO NEVER GETS THE SPOTLIGHT OR IN FACT ANY DEVELOPMENT AT ALL AND REALLY OUGHT TO FOR ONCE. And NINAAAAAAA whose alternate we still haven’t met, seriously, what is up with that (WOULD SHE HAVE OTHER ROBOTIC APPENDAGES?!?!?!?!!!! NEED TO KNOW). And for characters like Broyles and Charlie who only have one version now :( they could team up with each other! OR since we don’t know how the finale has effected everything yet, maybe Charlie Prime and Alt Broyles are alive again! Heyooooooo
