Christina Ricci in the new series Pan-Am

Um. I didn’t know she was in this??

This is going to the top of my fall to-watch list.

This is a picture of Emma Watson with gay porn star Cameron Adams, who plays Hermione Granger’s spoof character, Himmione Grainghim, in Whorrey Potter and the Sorcerer’s Balls. When she found out this tidbit of information, she said it made her night.

David Yates’ most vivid memory of Emma is watching her suddenly let go of her steely professionalism and for once just be young and free. They were filming a death scene from Hallows Part 2 on a freezing-cold beach in Wales. The actors were miserable, especially Emma, who hates the cold and dislikes getting wet even more. But out of nowhere, he recalls, “she ran into the icy water and stood there, holding herself against the waves with her arms outstretched, just laughing.” In that brief moment he got a sense of what it must be like to have a multibillion-dollar industry dependent on your every move and be only nineteen years old.

I had just turned 21, and this was my first solo video. I wanted to be a female version of James Dean and wear an iconic white T-shirt and jean shorts. I always think about wearing something a fan could buy and make her own; as a young girl I remember seeing so many artists, and then I’d try to dress like them. I sewed zippers on my jackets to be like Michael Jackson.i

Beyoncé, discussing her music video for “Crazy In Love” in W. She later mentions that her look in the “Single Ladies” video was also based on this “the fans should be able to dress like this too” philosophy. I strongly recommend reading all of this slide show — she has some really interesting things to say about her songs and their visual representation. (via perpetua)

If your idea of a role model is somebody who’s gonna preach to your kids that sex before marriage is wrong and cursing is wrong and women should be this and be that, then I’m not a role model. But if you want your girls to feel strong and intelligent and be outspoken and fight for what they think is right, then I want to be that type of role model, yeah.

miatoretto asked: lol, well I downloaded the album from ONTD and the hate was pretty unanimous but I don't expect much from the commenters there. I just saw your Bey tags from yesterday and I would definitely be interested in reading your thoughts on the album if you ever decided to post about it. I do agree that she did a great job of evoking that 80s feeling without sounding dated--which is what I would've liked from Gaga but sadly did not get from her mess of an album. I had a seeeerious emotional response to "I Was Here" which I was not expecting to have with this album at all so I really don't get the hate.

ONTD hates everything.

I haven’t read many reactions/reviews yet, probably because I stan Beyonce too hard to want to get into it, lol. But I dunno, I am actually expecting pretty good reviews from around the internet once it’s closer to release and more blogs start picking it up. It’s a cohesive, fresh, distinctive album with ridiculously gorgeous production values, and Bey has never sounded better. And the throwbacks to 80s R&B throughout are giving me life. I think there’s only one song on it that I don’t like, maybe two, which is some kind of record since I generally think of an album as good if I like 50-60% of the songs.

Hrm, I think I’ll review it, yeah.
